Probably Copiapoa grandiflora F. Ritter, is not distinct from Copiapoa cinerascens (Salm-Dyck) Britton & Rose, they live sympatrically in the P. N. Pan de Azucar; already Hoffmann (1989) and Charles (1998) treated the former as a variety of the latter.
